Chicory Chocolate Herbal Tea

My husband and I agree that this is one of the best tea blends we've ever tasted. It's got a light chocolate taste and enough heft that it was a suitable coffee substitute when I was recovering from gastritis last fall. There is a tiny bit of energy boost from the theobromine in the cacao nibs too. We buy a bag of this blend every couple of months and don't know how we ever lived without it. :-)

So glad I took the advice of the woman at the store who recommended this blend. It's as close to coffee as I'll ever get since I can't handle caffeine, but I'd venture to say it's even better than coffee! The pleasant rough bite of the chicory mixed with the smooth chocolate flavor is just perfect. I look forward to drinking this every morning.

This is such a delightful tea. I was hooked after the first sip! I enjoy the coffee-like bite but its very smooth and does not require milk/creamer, but you can definitely add it in if desired! The smell is amazing and the hint of chocolate is perfect. I am very sensitive to caffeine, and while this has trace amounts of caffeine from the cocoa nibs, I was able to enjoy without any negative side effects later. I'm definitely going to order more, I need one at home and at work!

AHAHHA! This is such a TREAT for me to grab late afternoon or late morning!! I would have never guessed it could be such a blend-but it IS!! and well worth the try!
