Amber Autumn Oolong is an “autumn flush” oolong sourced from Nepal. This double roasted oolong is more fully oxidized than other oolong teas, and features a medium body and a mellow natural sweetness. Amber Autumn Oolong can be infused multiple times.

Cups Per Package

This tea is carefully blended and packaged by hand in a reusable tin or a resealable kraft bag. Our 4 oz. tin or kraft bag makes approximately 40 cups of tea. Our 8 oz. kraft bag makes approximately 80 cups.

Ingredients

Oolong tea (Origin: Nepal)

Tasting Notes

Medium-bodied and malty, with notes of apricot, leather, and caramel.

How To Brew Amber Autumn Oolong

Use 1 level teaspoon per 6 oz. water. Heat water until briskly steaming (not boiling). Steep for 2 - 3 minutes. This tea will easily handle multiple infusions.

To prepare Amber Autumn Oolong, we recommend that you use a teapot, tea infuser, or tea filter. These brewing methods give the tea leaves enough room to expand as the tea steeps, resulting in a richer, more flavorful cup.

Amber Autumn Oolong Caffeine Content

Oolong tea contains a moderate amount of caffeine, less than half as much as coffee per cup.

Amber Autumn Oolong Benefits

Oolong tea boosts energy, helps with focus, and supports digestion.

More About Amber Autumn Oolong

Amber Autumn Oolong is an example of a superior quality oolong tea produced in Nepal. This tea is more heavily oxidized than most oolong teas, which turns the tea leaves a darker color, and gives the brewed tea a fuller body. Amber Autumn Oolong is a delicious, aromatic tea with notes of malt, caramel, and stone fruit.

While tea has traditionally been grown and cultivated in countries like India and China, the relatively small nation of Nepal is making a name for itself as a producer of premium teas. Stretching across Nepal, India, China, Bhutan, and Pakistan, the Himalayan mountain range is home to some of the most famous tea growing regions in the world, including Darjeeling province in India and Yunnan province in China, as well as the areas where our Nepali teas are grown and harvested. A rocky landscape of varying altitudes, these mountains are an ideal growing environment for tea, with the unique terroir and high elevation giving teas grown in these regions a distinctive rich, slightly floral character.

Our Amber Autumn Oolong is a great example of a more fully oxidized oolong. This means that it is closer in character to a black tea than to a green tea. Amber Autumn Oolong has a full, rich body, with malty and carmel-y notes. While darker than many oolongs, Amber Autumn is still lighter than a black tea, with a mellow sweetness that’s best enjoyed on its own, without any milk or sweetener.
